SBC Manager — Troubleshooting Common Issues

Quick fixes for the most common operational issues.

Dashboard Shows Red or Amber Alerts

Alert Cause Resolution
Node heartbeat stale SBC node agent not running or network down Check the node's connectivity and service status under Settings → Sync Settings
Apply needed Staged changes not applied Go to Apply and apply or discard pending changes
Backup overdue No backup within the retention window Create a manual backup, verify Settings → Backup Schedule
Device not activated Activation not completed Go to Settings → Activation and click Activate Now

Activation Fails

  • Verify outbound internet access to the SipLive licensing server
  • Check the server's clock (TLS validation requires correct time)
  • Contact support@siplive.net if it persists

Apply Fails

Open the failed apply in Apply → History for the detailed error. Common causes: Asterisk not running, a reference to a deleted trunk/route, or a config syntax error shown in the apply output. If unclear, send a Diagnostics → Download Bundle to support.

Cannot Log In to the GUI

  • Verify the email and password
  • Check the account is enabled under Security → Users
  • Use the password reset option on the login page

Packet Capture Shows No Traffic

  • Capture on the SIP interface, not the management interface
  • Check the filter expression (udp port 5060 for standard SIP)
  • Confirm the source IP is on the firewall allowlist (Settings → Firewall)

Install Problems

If a fresh install misbehaves, review /var/log/sbc-manager-install.log and confirm the provisioned marker exists at /var/lib/sbc-manager/provisioned — see SBC Manager — Viewing the Install Log.
